My name is Ken Brown and the black hairy object in the photo above is Kenmill-tri “Dream of Dreams” aka Maisie aka The Fatdog. In August 2006 I decided that I needed a break from the interminably boring dogwalks near the house. Armed with a rucksack of Bonios and a black hairy stomach on legs I headed into the wilds of Scotland. This blog began as a record of our travels…and casually veered off course on what became a regular basis.
Sadly The Fatdog passed away in July 2012 and since then the blog has most definitely moved on from a record of hill walks to a much more cosmopolitan beast.
In October of this year (2012) we had a new addition to the Blog – Little Miss Mabel – a black lab pup of (so she says) impeccable pedigree! Given her age it will be some time before we see the mountains again…probably 2014. Until then we will be slowly building up her strength and stamina. In the meantime I’ve returned to geocaching to give our walks a bit of interest as Little Miss Mabel puts in those walking miles.
“Never knowingly on the wall” was a description given to “Where The Fatdog Walks” by another blogger – I reckon that is probably the best description of what you’ll find lurking in the depths of this blog, or as I put it when I first began writing “Tails” of The Fatdog…
“In that gap in reality somewhere between the glow of a good Rioja and the flush of the toilet where all great ideas are formed…this is Where The Fatdog walks!”

Poor think – a stomach on legs LOL! She doesn’t look that fat!
Carol.
Of course, I meant ‘poor thing’ above – not think! Was too late to edit though…
“Think” nothing of it Carol…I make these sort of mistakes all the time. Thanks for taking the time to drop by.
It’s not that she looks fat…it’s more to do with how much she weighs!
It varies from 37-39 kg! Her brother is bigger…but seems to weigh less
