“A Gentle Stroll Up An Inclined Path” – Suddenly Popular – Why?

There is weirdness happening at The Fatdog Broadcasting Corporation.

In the past 24 hours there have been a few hits on a particular post from last year “A Gentle Stroll up an Inclined Path” with interest in the comments section.  There are hits from Milnathort, Perth, Gullane. Stourbridge and from California.   I have no idea why.

If someone is dropping in from a link to view the post I’d be grateful if you’d post a comment to let me know the source.  I’m intrigued.  :D

Thank you.

  1. Other than your excellent prose and outstanding photos I haven`t a clue :)

No clue in the wordpress stats ?

    • It’s quite amazing that, given my undoubtedly “excellent prose and outstanding photos”, how many people only stop here once and never come back.

I know…almost unbelievable. They number in the thousands as well. :(

The WordPress stats don’t tell me much – neither do my more sophisticated statcounter ones. It must have been posted elsewhere for this to happen. The hits were all in a short space of time…so it was probably on a scrolling bar as well. On the other hand I could see that happening with a new post – but not one over a year old – that’s the baffling bit.

      Unless…

they all knew each other and one said to the next…

“You must go visit this post to read the excellent prose and look at the outstanding photos”.

  2. That’s the funniest thing you’ve posted for ages ;) .

  3. Stourbridge is my home town, where I was born. Not sure the Interweb has reached it yet though

    • Never did find out what all that activity was about :( . Weird it was…like somebody had said to his mates – “let’s all go visit this brilliant blog.” Never happened again…hmm.

Now it's your turn...
