Time to Go

Well…that’s it.

The corridors of The Fatdog Broadcasting Corporation are echoing to the sound of our final footsteps as The Fatdog and I head for the exit for the last time.  All the equipment has been moved to our new premises and as many of the staff as possible have been sacked to lead a life of penury in the local poorhouse.

It just leaves me to thank everyone for their supportive comments at the end of the last post.  My apologies to Alan, Scott, David, Sheila, Tessa and Mark for not replying to their comments – rather than write the same thing 6 times over I thought I’d leave it until now to say “many thanks, guys, it wouldn’t have been the same without you all dropping in”.

So…what of the future, you ask?

Ah ha!  FD has very generously donated all the proceeds from “Where The Fatdog Walks” to our new project.  All I can say is…it is fortunate WordPress.com blogs are free.   By way of acknowledgement of this selfless act of philanthropy The Fatdog will become President of the new overseeing organisation – The Fatdog Foundation.  As for the name of the new blog …I tell you what, just hit the big red “Press Me” below and I’ll see you there…

  1. So you’ll be starting in the Third Division as a newco ?

    • Only if we escape the creditor’s lynch mob.

We have a number of undisclosed Singaporean backers who are willing to invest ridiculously small amounts of cash in this old and prestigious organisation but at least it will buy the morning coffees on day 1 of the new business.

Like a certain football club currently in the news we haven’t paid tax throughout the previous financial year…and the one before than…and the one before that…so no doubt we will be getting a call soon from HMRC.

  2. Yeah, when you think of it, Whyte/Green/Brown -

  3. All the best with the new project Ken.

FD may have given up the mountains, but I’m sure she will make the most of her retirement.

Now it's your turn...
